Fallin' Tree is a new company devoted to quality furniture making based on innovative designs that fit with the specific tastes of its customers. The company is owned and operated by John Rivera, a woodworker for over 30 years who has concentrated on designing and building furniture for his own homes and for family and friends.
Having sold his majority interest in his energy and environmental consulting firm, D&R International, Ltd., Mr. Rivera is pursuing his woodworking passion by offering his unique approach to a broader customer base. The vision for Fallin' Tree is to combine artistic, yet practical furniture designs while incorporating, to the extent possible, the use of reclaimed wood. As the company logo is intended to convey, Fallin' Tree will strive to utilize non-harvested wood, including wood that has served a previous use, in its building process.
A native of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and the son of a carpenter, Mr. Rivera’s design inspirations come from the simplistic lines of Southwest vistas coupled with the idea that each piece of furniture should make its own unique statement. In his designs, he often combines a number of different types of wood to add dimension to each piece.
